Lab update
A short note on where things stand.
firemusic
The CLI player keeps moving — search, playback, and the zero-leak UI. It is the most visible Firefly project on GitHub, and for good reason: it is the kind of tool that is hard to explain in a sentence but obvious once you use it.
If you have not tried it: clone firemusic, install libmpv and yt-dlp, and run it. The scrollback test alone is worth it.
This website
The lab now has a proper home on the web — not a landing page, a portal:
Still dark. Still text-first. Still no signup form. The GitHub org remains the source of truth; this site is the readable front door.
Pace
We are not racing to ship ten announcements. We are keeping repos moving — some experimental, some stable, all real.
If you are watching the lab: follow GitHub, read the blog when something is worth writing up, and open a discussion if you want to talk.
Code comes first. Hype does not.
